We left Switzerland at 6am heading for the small scenic town of Heidelberg near Mannheim and Frankfurt in Germany. The main attraction is a large castle on top of the mountain with a view of the river that runs through the town. We arrived at 12pm but couldn’t check into our hostel until 3pm. Since we were only staying in Germany for 1 day we left our bags there and headed off to the castle. The castle was fairly high up and gave good views of the town. Inside the castle there was a medicine museum with old medicine bottles herbs and even Aspirin. There was another room with a ridiculous sized wine barrel or vat.
