Kensington the company which invented the standard Kensington Lock for electronic devices revealed two new security products today to add to their ever growing portfolio.

The first product dubbed the Secure Back, is a protective and secure case for Apple’s incredibly popular iPad 2 tablet. The biggest benefit is you can leave it on the desk in your office without worrying about anyone trying to steal it. It also protects your iPad from damage during transit. There are two versions one with a back stand that will cost approximately $70 (Estimated Retail at: £49.99) and a flat version without a stand at $50 (Estimated Retail at: £39.99). With this being a Kensington product you will also need to purchase a standard Kensington lock which you can obtain for the cheapest price at your local Poundland for £1. Alternatively if you want the fancy Click Lock, Kensington will sell it to you for an additional £44.99. More information and promotional videos at the link below:

The second product revealed is something which I believe will sell particularly well. The Bungee Air iPhone 4 case is a multifunctional product for clumsy and lazy people. The first function is protection. Having a case for your phone will reduce the risk of damage if dropped. In addition the case maintains the sleekness in depth although stretched the length of the case in favour of 1500mah’s worth of extra battery power. The most notable feature is the integration of a warning and locking mechanism for your iPhone 4. You are given a key fob with the case which communicates with the phone over Wifi. It is able to do this because there is a connector inside the case to plug the iPhone into. Once you are approximately 30 feet away from your phone the key fob will start beeping. It will send a signal back to the phone that will also lock the screen. These features are controlled by a free app available for the device on the Apple App Store. The app has additional features such as triggering the key fob from your phone in case you have misplaced your keys. The finishing touch is a small slit in the back of the case which allows you to use any standard sized plastic card as a support stand for your iPhone. Priced at $100  (Estimated Retail at: £69.99) it’s an expensive product although it does have several useful features. Read more at the link below:
